One thing that makes us hard to live without our iPhones and other apple devices is the icalendar app. The app syncs throughout all your linked devices updating your schedule every time it’s modified on one device. As many of us use google to manage our daily live it is important that it’s syncing and working correctly.
Usually this works without a hitch, especially with newer iOS versions allowing you to simply add an account and the calendar events you input on the web will show up on your iPhone, and vice versa. If it doesn’t work then you may need to tweak some of the settings. When you have set Google calendar to work with iOS, going to the iPhone select page while logged into your Google account. While you are still logged in head to https://m.google.com/sync/settings/iconfig/welcome on your iPhone to assist iOS to talk to google.
Sometimes deleting the Google account link and reading it to your Apple device can reset any settings that aren’t correct. To do this tap on your settings app and then mail, contacts and calendars option. Then add account. Google icon will be an option so select that and simply add your Google account details there. Your iPhone will validate your credentials and then it should all sync.
If deleting your account doesn’t work go to your settings on your devices and into the mail, contacts, calendars. Tap on your Google account to make sure the calendar toggle is set to on. Make sure your device is getting data. In the mail, contacts, calendar setting tap the fetch new data. Leave push on at the top and tap on your Google account in the list below that. Choose fetch if you want your calendar data to get to your iPhone automatically or manual if you want to only come in when you load a calendar.
You need to make sure that iOS is pulling the correct default calendar from your Google account. At the bottom of the mail, contacts, calendar setting there is the calendar section, which has the option of a default calendar. Then choose your main Google calendar from the list.
If you follow these different ways to having your calendar sync you should then be able to add and edit and view your events from any device.
